Job Specification:
To achieve agreed sales targets for new and or used vehicles
To follow the company sales process rigidly in pursuit of vehicle sales
To build rapport and lasting relationships with customers to ensure repeat business
To manage and develop customer follow-up and prospecting systems designed to create additional sales opportunities for repeat and new business
To effectively manage the customer through the entire sales process; from enquiry to delivery and beyond
To maintain and accurately record all customer contact/details using in house computer systems
To complete accurate appraisals of all vehicles presented in part-exchange, agreeing values with the Sales Manager
To actively achieve targets on a daily basis
To attend training on a regular basis to maintain product knowledge
Opening Hours: 8.30am to 7pm (Monday to Friday), 8.30am to 5pm (Saturday) and 11am to 5pm (Sunday) opening hours are covered on a rota basis.
Salary: Basic £10,000 to 12,000 plus commission on vehicles sold, delivered and invoiced. On Target Earnings of approximately £25-30K Company car provided after successful completion of probation period.
Holidays: 20 days holiday per annum rising to 22 after completion of 1 year’s service up to maximum of 25 days (Excluding bank holidays)
Entitled to join company pension scheme after successful completion of probation period.
Person Specification:
Proven track record within a Sales Environment (preferably not within the motor trade) essential
Experience of working in a sales capacity in a customer facing role would be highly advantageous
Previous experience of presenting products to customers highly advantageous
GCSE English and Maths (A-C grade) or equivalent essential
Possess a willingness to train and succeed in a career selling vehicles
Excellent organisation skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Warm and friendly personality portraying a professional image to all customers (both face to face and over the phone)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to follow a task through from start to finish
Ability to follow a rigid process.
Must have a full clean driving licence (no drink driving, or driving without insurance convictions within the past 10 years) for insurance reasons
