Job Role: Service Technician

8.30 - 5.30pm Monday to Friday 8.30am to 12.30pm S
Job Specification:
To carry out the service and repair of franchised vehicles to satisfactory standards commensurate with a high level of customer satisfaction.
To carry out such servicing and repairs in a safe and economical manner
To ensure effective use of technical knowledge/skills enabling effective, economic and safe servicing of customer vehicles.
Achieve and maintain the highest levels of repair quality.
Talk to customers directly about vehicle problems, therefore aiding the diagnostic process; first time fix and improving customer satisfaction.
To road test and diagnose problems as and when required.
To carry out routine servicing, warranty repairs, diagnosis of vehicle problems and general maintenance of vehicles as required.
To ensure vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to customer, or that faults have been reported and noted on the job cards.
Person Specification:
Must have at least 2 years experience of working in the motor trade at Service Technician level.
Previous experience of working with SEAT/VW vehicles advantageous
Completed recognised apprenticeship scheme or City and Guilds qualification essential.
Previous experience of diagnostics
Previous experience of customer communications
Good understanding of health and safety requirements of Vehicle technician position
Willingness to undertake any training commensurate with the position.
